Indy Aquatic Masters Wins the 2016 GRIN State Championship!

Congratulations, IAM! Once again, IAM swimmers earned the title State Champions by winning the 2016 GRIN Short Course State Championship. This year's meet was held on May 7 - 8 at the Vigo County School Corporation Aquatic Center in Terre Haute.  Over two days of racing, new friends were made and old acquaintances were renewed.  And, with 105 swimmers in attendance ranging in age from 18 to 83, the meet promised fierce competition, an amazing venue, and fast water - and the competitors certainly delivered!

IAM Relays also rocked the blocks by earning 13 1st place finishes. Relay State Champion swimmers include David Bowell, Meg Carlson, Andrew Catlin, Brian Cummings, Jeremy Forst, Charlie Geist, Karen Gernert, Cheryl Gettelfinger, Curt Keller, Tracy Knight, David Lewis, Linda Marvin, Doug Miller, Leah Miller, Ezat Nayeri, Matthew O'Neal, Kari Peglar, George Quigley, Timothy Reiman, Stephen Rouch, Erica Smith, Rachel Stutsman, Megan Thedwall, Katlyn Tracy, Robin Walker, and John Weiss.

In addition to new State records and a multitude of personal best swims, IAM also had a number of swimmers making their competitive Masters debut.
