Amazing Results for IAM Swimmers at USMS Summer Nationals

The 2014 Long Course Meters (LCM) Championship took place at the Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium on the University of Maryland campus in College Park, Maryland from August 13 - August 17. Over 1,000 swimmers took part in this five-day meet and amazing swimming was apparent. Among them were 5 IAM swimmers, including Meg Carlson, Nadine Day, Jeremy Forst, Linda Marvin, and Marty Mennen. These five swimmers brought home 13 USMS National Individual Championships, 3 USMS 2nd Place Finishes, 7 Top 10 Finishes, and 1 Mixed Relay Top 10 Finish. Wow!

Bringing home individual championships were Meg Carlson (W 30-34 - 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 50 Fly, and 200 IM), Nadine Day (W 40-44 - 200 Free, 100 Breast, 200 Fly, and 200 IM), and Marty Mennen (M 75-79 - 400 Free, 800 Free, 50 Back, 100 Back, and 200 Back). Swimmers earning Top 10 results were Meg Carlson (100 Fly - 2nd), Nadine Day (200 Back - 2nd and 100 Fly - 2nd), Jeremy Forst (50 Free - 10th, 100 Free - 7th, 50 Breast - 3rd, and 50 Fly - 7th),  Linda Marvin (50 Free - 8th, 100 Free - 6th, 200 Free - 6th, 400 Free - 4th, and 200 IM - 6th). And, our relay team, which included Meg Carlson, Jeremy Forst, Linda Marvin, and Marty Mennen, earned a 6th place finish (Mixed 160-199) in the 200 Free Relay.
